What is this?

Editorial Assessment: Essentially beta reading; I look over your work and provide feedback in the early stages of your writingContent/Developmental Editing: A more in-depth Editorial Assessment; I annotate your work and provide raw feedback on the work to fix big-picture issues like major plot, character inconsistencies, and things similar.Copy Editing: A more in-depth editing process; I check for things like spelling, grammar, capitalization, POV/tense, unnecessary repetition, and dialogue tags.Proofreading: A late-stage version of an Editorial Assessment; I look through your story to make sure your writing stays consistent and to make sure that no spelling or grammar mistakes make it into the final work.Editing is a very open-communication process, and there will be many back and forth messages to make sure your writing turns out how you want it.

Reviews

"There were no delays. The editorial assessment was professional and listed every point about the work, whether it was a strong point or a weak point, which is highly important. The editor was also willing to hear my advice about what an editorial assessment really is, showing their professional attitude. Great work." - James, 5 stars

Payment Alternatives

If you can't pay with money, I am open to service trades. If you are open to trading commissions, we can discuss during price estimates.

Payment

I only accept cash payment through PayPal. Depending on the overall price of the service, I may ask for a non-refundable down payment that makes up 20% of the total service. Estimates may change depending on the difficulty of service. If anything happens to change the estimate, it will be discussed.Once a down payment is made, the down payment will stay fixed no matter what changes with the estimate.

Terms & Policies

-Payment (not including down payment, if one is made) is expected within 5-7 business days after service completion. Reminders will be sent regularly. If pay is refused, legal action will be taken.-If you are unsatisfied with the work done, we can discuss it and figure out what I can do to fix it. If we cannot come up with a solution, 20% of the original estimate is requested, as I still worked. We can negotiate the percentage.-ALL DOWN PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Big projects take up a lot of time, and even if you aren't satisfied with the work or cancel partway through, I still need compensation for my work.-Any projects on a rushed timeline will add a rush fee to the estimate, as I have to make it a higher priority. This is non-negotiable.-I will ask to use your project in my portfolio, and you are well within your rights to decline such usage. If you end up publishing this work, credit should be given to me as an editor.-Before the project is started, I will have to ask you to confirm that you agree with all Terms & Policies by saying "I, [Name], agree to all terms and policies laid out in the commission info."
